Real numbers, with the evidence under them

Every number says what it stands on and when it was read. Too few sales or listings means no number at all, never a guess.

Tested, not promised. We check every kind of number against prices it never saw. For one car at its own mileage, the way the app prices it, half land within 5% when the number comes from listings, and within 17% when it comes from auction sales, which scatter more.

What Known will not do

  • Show a guess as if it were a fact.
  • Give a number when too few cars like yours have sold or are listed.
  • Rewrite a service entry. A correction is a new entry.
  • Show a mileage without saying how old the reading is.
